White HouseFly: No other insect is more talked about than the fly today. Why? Prez Obama killed one while doing an interview! What an offense by the top man in the country!! Certainly not a leading example, enough to get PETA's attention, for one day, they changed the A in their abbreviated name to Ants instead of the usual Animals! Ironically, everyone missed the PETA spokesperson crushing an ant while sitting for the press report! Talk about the pot calling the kettle sooty... I dare not mention the famous phrase!
Fruity sales at Krispy Kreme: Krispy Kreme donuts saw a BIGGGG spike of sales this weekend, why? It almost saved the company from bankruptcy! Apple stores in the East Coast were serving up KKD donuts for anxious people waiting in line at the Apple stores for the new iPhone 3GS!! Apple is scratching its head, the number of donuts served don't map to the number of phones sold (many homeless people at the malls crowded the lines!)! Krispy Kreme will take it nonetheless! Apple itself won't mind; its West Coast sales spiked up BIGGGGGG time! Enough to buyout Krispy Kreme itself! Why? The BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) budget found an unusual spending on one item: Apple gadgets and Microsoft said it won't reimburse Apple devices! So employees rushed before the policy changed!
Life in a Metro: Shiney Ahuja, one of the stars in "Life in a Metro", was cross at the movie's scriptwriter! He was the only married main star in that movie who didn't have fun with another woman onscreen! He got tantalizingly close to getting the best woman in that movie, but missed it by a hair! So, he decided to make up for it off-screen with his maid! Don't jail Shiney, he just rehearsed for his next gig! Jail that scriptwriter!
Day after Tomorrow: Intel is going all out to prove that slogan of its, "Today is so yesterday!", in fact it is going to become a sponsor of "The Day after Tomorrow" instead of the originally planned Tomorrow! Why? It is watching! Industry experts are predicting the end of the famed Moore's Law! With this recession, closing of fabs, conservation of power, can Gordon Moore himself put it in writing that the number of chips will double in the coming years? And I didn't even mean Las Vegas chips!
Its all about MSMoney: Microsoft decided to make some serious mula to beef up the Bing! To do so, it closed Microsoft Money, an irony indeed! Closing a door opens several more Windows?
Alley Hoop: Cisco Systems is charged as guilty! Their increasing promotion of Cisco Telepresence has cut down the air traffic between their offices in San Jose and Austin, eliminating the need for an American Airlines direct flight from SJC-AUS! Other companies are long gone anyway and even those who send their emps on travel are strictly advised to buy tickets on Priceline, not buy any in-flight food or even smile at cabin crew. The route got the axe this week. The direct cord between Silicon Valley and Silicon Alley is now either virtual or goes through PHX or DFW!
Strategy Break-down: It turns out that the strategy break during the IPL claimed its victims! Every team that played in the IPL! Players were so used to planning things out in the strategy break(s) after the 10th over, that they could not keep up to the pace of things during the T20 World Cup! The only team that had no representation in the IPL2, Pakistan, won the cup! India, which had all its players getting spoiled by the Strategy Break, bowed out without a single win in the Super 8s stage! Great job Lalit bhai! Way to go!!
Remembering Father: As with most Hyped up Greeting Card days, Father's Day made it big everywhere; even here, at WWWews, but in Facebook and Twitter, it went to incredible heights! Twitter had a ten million tweets with the "#fathersday" tag! Some suffering from nostalgia broke down totally, some suffering from anorexia remembered how much father contributed to it, some went to jail to see their dads, some went with their dads to parks and zoos, while one, suffering from Amnesia, suddenly remembered who his father was! Twitter is a miracle!
Until next time.... comments awaited!!

It is hard to imagine how you manage your day job in addition to the research u need to do for this insightful series. Does someone in the household work in media?
