Rumble in the Plates: It has been raining powerful Earthquakes this past week! Started with a 6.9 in Baja Mexico then headed West across the Date Line to a 7.1 that shook Tokyo and co; the force continued getting stronger and still heading Westward and shook parts of Chennai and certainly Andaman with a 7.6! Someone in the netherworld does not seem happy with the arrangement of the plates! Will the heavens please intervene?

Clinton Secret Service: I am in awe for former President Clinton and his noble efforts to have rescued 2 journalists who work for his former deputy. But he didn't give credit where it was due in implementing the key strategy to win Kim Jong over! He remembered the news piece that he had read on what the South Korean primier took to Pyongyang on his previous visit, R-movies! So, he took a couple of attractive models that he had had good experience with, that wanted some overseas experience! What else could explain why he went over and not his wife, the secy of state?

Palm's Hiring (de)Freeze: Palm is on a hiring freeze, well, with one exception, no hiring unless from Apple! Apple people are heading East to join the ranks of the underdog. Who doesn't like an underdog fighting a big kahuna trying to lock it away from its App stores? It might even get some support from Google now that Schmidt has bailed out after probably having figured out that he could do with a real salary as a Palm board member!

July Beer Fest: So the drama between Sgt Crowley and Harvard Prof Gates ended in a beer party at the White House. Guess who had the most intelligent choice of Beer? Sgt Crowley, who selected "Blue Moon", very apt, it is only once in a blue moon that such an event occurs!

Cyber's Most Hated:  Know who's hated the most in Cyberspace? From Russia to Romania, Monday is the obvious candidate for the most hated! Twitter, Facebook, Orkut and rest of Statusphere are amass with periodic hate messages for poor Monday. No one has any qualms in expressing their outrage towards Monday! Friday, on the other hand, everyone loves, they plan beer gatherings, kitty parties and even restroom shoutouts via Twitterverse! Many were so eager, that they took down Twitter during their thrashing of Monday.

Potter vs Spider: USPS posted dismal results and not even Potter (Postmaster Gen) could help it in fighting the Giant World Wide Web woven by a non-Arachnoid!! USPS blames the internet for reduction in mail volume. Do they realize that they are offering handsome discounts on stamps, postage to their consumers via that same internet?

Tiger wanted Pot? No one I guess forgot the ghastly incident at SF Zoo where a Siberian Tiger attacked a few visiting youngsters. Now we may have a clue why.. SJ police recently arrested one of these victims for possession of cocaine. Can you blame the Tiger for wanting in?

Kittu Mama & Pattu Mami on the roll: Could the middle aged happy couple of Kittu Mama and Pattu Mami ever dream of being a model with their pot bellies and let us safely say a lack of an hourglass structure? Well, they are! And they are riding the buses through the streets of the Bay Area stuck to their Western Union banner! WU seems to think that Indian parents still want to draw blood from the US!  This, despite reduced visa application and university enrollments from India, the country they live in weathering the recession much better than the US!
